My approach to maternity wear has definitely changed from my first to my second pregnancy. After a few mistakes last time and perhaps not fully embracing the bump, I’ve grown better at knowing what items to splurge vs save on and also how to incorporate non-maternity items as often as possible. This dress happens to be maternity, but is designed to be worn when not pregnant as well which I just love. It is so comfortable and still looks pulled together in that effortless, could be going to the beach or dinner way. It’s been in constant rotation lately yet since it was still chilly last week I needed a coat to top it off. My favorite trick for non-maternity coats is to tie the belt tightly in the back to give some semblance of a shape rather than either letting the entire coat hang loosely or awkwardly trying to button it up over the bump. I’ve found this provides coverage without the costly investment of actual maternity coats. I love that this trench coat offers adorable striped lining for a fun surprise when it peeks out!
