My heart is always so full after returning from a trip to Oregon, regardless of the length. This most recent trip was incredibly short compared to others yet seemed to pack more joy into it than the long visits. We soaked up every second we could with family and spent most of our time outside. The warm weather was a welcome change from the windy, still-need-a-jacket temperatures in Anchorage. We got to enjoy a blissful day at the coast when the illusive trifecta hits: perfect weather, few crowds, minimal meltdowns. Oh and ice cream! It was truly a magical day and I am so grateful we got to jaunt down for what may be the last trip there before the baby comes. Here are a few highlights!
We couldn’t resist dressing Waverley and her cousin in matching swimsuits for a day at the pool. They are only two months apart and are constantly mistaken for twins!
Dressed up for church for our nephew’s First Communion. I love the juxtaposition of a dad in a suit and a little gal in her pink dress!
My brother and I are so honored to be the godparents to our sweet nephew.
The sweetest elderly couple found this rock on the beach and gave it to me. They said it looks like a pregnant mama and hoped it meant good luck for the baby and me.
She’s turning into quite the little explorer and loves to lead us all over.
Exploring caves at the beach. Her pigtails just kill me.
On our last day we had time for a quick morning downtown to enjoy coffee at our favorite spot!
