I’ve had a pretty consistent beauty routine over the past five years, so it takes a lot for me to love something new. After sailing through hundreds of different products in my teens and twenties, I know the products that work well for me. However, I’ve recently come across a few new products that I am completely obsessed with and just had to share them with you! I can’t be too fussy with beauty products as a mother to a young babe, so I rely on quality basics to get me through. And now that I am in my 30s, I place an extra emphasis on healthy skin. These are the new-to-me products I am obsessed with!
1. Best New Mascara: I have been a tireless crusader of Chanel’s Inimitable Intense Mascara for a decade. I’ve tried other kinds but always went back. And then I tried the new Blinc Mascara Amplified and am positively thrilled with the results. It genuinely doesn’t smudge or flake off throughout the day and comes off incredibly easily (much better than waterproof mascara). It elongates lashes without looking spidery– which is ironic considering it comes off looking like little spider legs due to the tube formation it creates around each individual lash.
2. Favorite Lip Shade: Tom Ford has the best lip stick, so I knew I’d find a new shade that is perfect for fall and winter. I love the soft plum of Casablanca, which can be worn day or night.
3. For Amazing Skin: I was at a point of desperation last spring with my skin when I splurged on La Mer The Concentrate. Nothing seemed to work for the random little patches of eczema I was experiencing and the constant rash on my face began to take a toll on my soul. After just a few uses of The Concentrate the rash/eczema was gone and in its place was glowing, youthful skin. Now I use it on the incision from my surgery this past summer and dab it all over my face every so often (it’s meant to be used very sparingly) for a surge of radiance. It’s by far the most expensive beauty or skincare product I’ve ever used yet is absolutely worth the investment.
4. Best Liquid Eyeliner: I’ve shied away from liquid eyeliner in the past due to constant smudging or a heavy-handed application. In the past few years I’ve loved this gel formula yet craved something more precise. That’s when I fell in love with this liquid eyeliner, which does not smudge, run, or come out in splotches. It’s even, flawless, and lasts all day. I am excited to have it my arsenal for all of the upcoming holiday parties and events!
