Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week. My week started out fabulously yet also a little melancholy when we said goodbye to my trusty 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. I’d driven that gal (affectionately named Kathy) for over 10 years. She saw me through graduate school, my tumultuous 20s, and the deep ghetto of Baltimore. It was bittersweet for sure. I hope she finds a good home:) We are getting ready for a very chilly weekend (lows in the negatives!) so I am busy prepping games, crafts, and buckets of hot chocolate to keep us warm and entertained. I hope you have a great one!
“No, yes, no, yes, no….” is now a common sentence uttered in our house by Waverley. It seems her toddler brain of indecision is in full force as she is unable to decide between basic tenets of humanity. Milk or water? Peanut butter or cheese? Timeout or cleanup? The horror. The sheer horror of all of these crippling choices. Here is why her life is utterly horrific this week:
- Her mother decided to take over the reigns of the sled. Oh what fun! She preferred her father.
- She refused to wear her mittens and cried when her hands were cold.
- She threw her steamer on the ground and then kicked and cried in her car seat for it back.
- She wanted a banana muffin, not banana bread. (Why can’t you get anything right, Mama?)
- Her parents hugged each other.
- She did not like when her mother pretended to take a nap.
- She will only drink out of her Cars cup.
- She was offered the incorrect flavor of crackers.
- The aforementioned bag of crackers was opened for her. She did not like that.
- She wanted to wear a nighttime diaper all day.
- Her favorite pajamas were dirty.
- She was offered the incorrect spoon.
- She did not want the blue blanket, only the red plaid blanket.
- She did not want to take family pictures. Not even for hot chocolate.
Sheesh. Tough week for her.

Cheers to you, too, Mama! I am sure Kennedy has some epic woes as well. I am glad we can enjoy the struggle:)
