Today is such a happy day for me because I get to share Waverley’s birthday announcements with you! As you may know, I love beautiful stationery. It is kind of an obsession and a thick piece of card stock with letterpress printing can truly make me go weak in the knees. I tend to take any opportunity to send personalized paper goods out, especially when it involves Waverley. We did not have a big party with invitations for her this year but still wanted to send out a special card to everyone, so we opted for birthday announcements with a few fun facts.
Since we live so far away from most of our friends and family, many people do not really know Waverley. I can get a little down about it and I want them to feel they know her as she develops into her own little person. I decided to send out something that tells the story of who Waverley is through her favorite things to do, her most notable traits, and her favorite foods. And, of course, a picture of Waverley in her favorite spot: about ready to get super muddy and wet at the pond near our house. And every girl needs a crown for her birthday, right?
I contacted the gals at Printerette Press because I am always in love with their fun, whimsical, and charming creations. They created Waverley’s beautiful first birthday invitations and our family holiday cards last year. Catherine is quite magical; I simply told her the information I wanted on the cards and sent the pictures I took for inspiration. And she came back with this! Perfection. Also, my favorite little tidbit is that the envelope liner is called “Waverley’s pattern” because she designed it for Waverley last year and has since used it on other projects. How sweet! This year we used the same liner but in different colors.
These turned out exactly how I envisioned them without actually having a specific vision. But mostly, I hope they helped our loved ones living all over the country (and world– one went to Germany!) feel more connected to Waverley.
Thanks for reading!
