I seriously can hardly comprehend my month in Oregon has come and gone … and how few pictures I took! I suppose that is the tell of a truly busy yet fabulous time when I can barely take my camera out for a few shots (and I truly lugged it around 99% of the time). My month was packed with lunch dates, a Ryan Adams concert, dinner plans, a spa day, taking Waverley to the zoo and children’s museum (first time for both and she loved it), library class, crafting and prepping for her birthday party, a University of Oregon football game, a wedding, a lot of time in the car, and spending our days with friends and family. Most of the time having no agenda was just blissful: simply sitting and chatting and soaking in the company of my favorites. My favorites are quickly multiplying as more babes join each year and I couldn’t be happier about it. It was wonderful to see Waverley “play” with her cousins and friends, however, I have learned the hard truth about photographing children: it’s really very difficult. Any picture where the majority of them look half decent (e.g., looking at the camera) is considered gold. Here are a few pictures I did manage to snap during my time there that are making me oh so happy!
{The one time I made a point to go on a walk solo (+ Waverley, obviously) I saw this gorgeous tree lining the street in NW Portland.}
{Dozens of shots and this was the best. Can you believe my friend who is back there wrangling all three of these babes?}
{Waverley’s future BFF for sure: her cousin who is just 2.5 months older than her. We love getting these gals together and can’t help but dressing them in coordinating outfits!}
{More time with Waverley’s god sisters at the children’s museum in the nature play park (so Portland, right?).}
{Naturally I did not bring our swim gear since we were visiting in the fall, yet we still managed to hit up the pool twice thanks to the heat wave and Waverley had a blast playing in the fountain. I think she’s a water baby like her momma!}
