The state of our bedroom is a hot mess right now. We haven’t done a thing to it since we moved in December and it has miraculously achieved a desolate yet messy look. There are no nightstands, which creates the perfect opportunity to throw a bunch of stuff near the sides of the bed; the mismatched sheets are worn with holes and the duvet cover, according to my husband, looks like something a high school girl would choose (a très classy high school girl, okay!); and we have yet to hang anything on the walls. We have discussed upgrading from a queen bed to a king-size bed for the past year (why is this decision so major?). We hope that dream will come to fruition soon and ignite our bedroom makeover. As I contemplate what pieces to put in there, I find I am excited to decorate our first grownup bedroom in our first house that we own yet cautious as well: I want items that will truly last years both in style and function and the decor needs to combine Nate’s rugged personality with my classic, feminine taste. Here is what I have so far:
{One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight}
What do you think? If you’re thinking it doesn’t look super rustic, you should know there’s a giant elk horn that is likely to take up residence on our wall (which has been lying on the floor for months…). I’m excited to show the progress as it evolves. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
