Despite being a tad overwhelmed with the idea of having a baby, I couldn’t resist the stationery opportunity of birth announcements. I knew enough to know I’d regret it later on if I couldn’t pull myself together enough to send out announcements. As usual, I spent much too long searching for the perfect announcement which in my mind wasn’t too precious, too trendy, too expensive, or too boring. Kind of a tall order. My husband and I decided on these little lovelies from Love vs Design and the end product makes me so happy. I mean, how can you not smile when you look at them? We added a coordinating envelope liner and a personalized magnet with Waverley’s monogram as well, which is an idea I stole from my sister-in-law when I realized her three year-old’s baby photo magnet was still on our refrigerator. Paper announcements get thrown away, but refrigerator magnets are forever!
I highly recommend choosing the announcement, having them ordered (without the picture and birth details of course), and addressing the envelopes prior to the arrival of your little one. You may think you’ll have the time/energy/logic to complete all of those details after the birth but … probably not. I’m quite certain doing that is the only reason these birth announcements were mailed out.
{The photos in these announcements were taken by the amazing Denise of Newborn Daydreams Photography. Of course I’ll be posting more in the coming weeks of Waverely’s newborn photo shoot.}

I love how the different inserts all come together so beautifully, but without looking too matchy matchy. So darling!
