I love weddings. I adore everything about them from obsessively planning one to attending them each year. When I receive a thick, calligraphed envelope I am giddy with the first hints of a possible stationery high. One of the most exciting parts of weddings to me (besides the obvious) is seeing the bride’s and groom’s personality mesh together. The weddings I look back on the most fondly are those that truly represented the bride and groom and their styles coming together (arriving via speed boat on a lake in Montana = excellent). There may be nothing worse than a cookie cutter wedding with no personality and mass produced everything.
Talking weddings today at work with a newly engaged gal inspired me to use my sister’s idea to show glimpses of a certain couple’s wedding. Because I really fancy lovely stationery I think the perfect first post on the topic is to show a few paper goods from the ceremony and reception.
{Table names chosen by my husband, inspired by his love of hunting.}
{Guestbook postcards inspired by our home states.}
{Dessert sign for cupcakes and macarons, naturally.}
{Favor sign along with adorable soap tags. The soap was provided by my exceptionally talented cousin at SLAB Soap Company.}
All of these paper goods were created by Miss Pickles Press who painstakingly went over every design detail and wonderfully illustrated both my husband’s and my styles. Moral of the story: Please show what makes you as a couple so adorable and forego unoriginal elements!
