Fact: I wear my hair up 99% of the time. Fact: The same old pony/messy bun gets old.
To alleviate bun boredom I usually try to incorporate braids or wear sparkly hair accessories. This little braided hair style provides some excitement when I don’t have time to blow dry my hair. Here is a step-by-step guide to creating a French braided messy bun like this:
{First, get the top half of your hair out of the way. Then start with three small sections at the top of your neck.}
{Create a French braid going towards the top of your head. I am not going to go into how to do a regular French braid but if you need a tutorial, try this one (I am talking to you, Kristine!)}
{After you’ve braided to your crown use a clear elastic to pull all of your hair in a pony tail.}
{I think it is helpful to re-braid the tail of the French braided portion so the braid is tight. Then secure with a clear elastic.}
{Use the braid to wrap around the pony tail like an elastic to create a messy bun. Then pin the braid in place.}
{Smooth down fly aways and use bobby pins to tame any wild pieces of hair.}
{And then, voilà! All done and ready to go.}
{Are you feeling the spring love?}
