Last Thursday I was supposed to be making pizza dough for dinner but got sidetracked with a much tastier dough option in the form of apple pecan bread. It’s the perfect bread for cool winter mornings, toasted with butter or gooey brie cheese. And a giant coffee, naturally.
5. Start to spread spoonfuls of the apple mixture on corners of the rolled out dough and begin folding inwards.
6. Add the apple mixture and fold the dough several times. I wasn’t too concerned with it looking pretty because I wanted the apple mixture to be dispersed throughout the entire loaf of bread rather than in a perfect swirl.
7. Once you have your loaf shape with the apple mixture rolled up inside, place back in the bowl and let it rise again for approximately 30 minutes.
8. Bake for 40 minutes at 350º. This may vary as I used a pizza stone, which quickens the bake time.
Half of the loaf was gone by the time I attempted pictures. I’ll take that as a good sign that our houseguests enjoyed it!
