This year Husband and I ventured out the day after Thanksgiving to find the perfect Christmas tree. Last year we were late bloomers the first weekend of December and pickings were slim. We’re inclined to cut our own rather than buying one in a parking lot and making it a full day event, starting with coffee at our favorite spot, a scenic drive through Maryland and Virginia, and dinner in a quaint town with hard ciders. The weather was perfect and the entire day was as well.
{Charlie met a new friend, Percy the Pig.}
{Awkward family photo. Christmas tree hunting attire: skinny jeans, argyle cardigan, chambray shirt, sunglasses, riding boots.}
{Loved this adorable shop with delicious treats and home-brewed beverages.}
{Trimmed with home-painted sparkles.}

I’m so glad you’re feeling better and back to blogging; I’ve missed you! I always think of the day after Thanksgiving as “the day Lesleigh is allowed to listen to Christmas music again.”
Lesleigh says
Thank you dear! You are right, the Christmas music has been playing constantly:)

Where did you guys go for a tree? The boy and I are looking to cut one down and we live in Northern VA.
Lesleigh says
We went to Buttonwood Farm Christmas Trees. It is a great place, definitely worth the drive!
