Happy Friday, y’all! Today is an especially exciting Friday because it is one of my closest friend’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Bree! Remember when I highlighted my super chic friends (here and here)? I could never pick just one trait to talk about for my friend Bree, so sadly I never got around to posting on how amazing she is. Would I talk about her effortless, chic style? (She’s preggers in the picture above and still looks completely put together! You can see her perfect baby girl here.) No, because I really have no idea how to explain achieving the look, except for when it comes to looking cute in scrubs. Would I talk about how thoughtful she is, even sending Charlie get well cards? Or, would I talk about what a doer she is, you know those people that are always trying new things and appear to love every minute of it? Hmm.
Since I j’adore lists, I categorized the top six lessons I’ve learned from Bree throughout our thirteen years of friendship, spanning weddings, proms, breakups, college, dogs, and everything in between:
6. Do not, under any circumstance, heat up tortillas in the microwave. Tsk tsk.
5. A house can look very chic with high-end furniture and homemade decorations.
4. Quality is more important than quantity in every aspect of life.
3. Resist the urge to run errands in sweats or workout gear. Get dressed, swipe on some lipgloss, and venture out feeling much better about yourself.
2. There is always a reason to send a card, especially if it involves drawings created after a few too many cocktails.
1. Try something new, sign up for random classes, travel, and keep learning.
{She runs half-marathons, has done a triathlon, plays tennis, and snowboards.}
{My little cousin Spencer fell in love with her.}
{We were both in each other’s weddings.}
So, I hope everyone has a great weekend! Make like Bree and find something new to try. Speaking of which, there is one more day to enter for a chance to win free Stella & Dot jewelry!

Tu n’as pas besoin de la “I” avant “j’adore.” Sorry, one of my pet peeves!
The wedding photo of you and your friend is gorgeous!
