If you don’t live in Alaska, you may be wondering: When were these pictures taken? Was it March or November? It is so dreary! Well, friend, the answer is JULY. Yes these were taken just a few days ago on my way home from the farmers’ market. This is how Alaska summers roll! They fluctuate from a beautiful 70 degrees day to six cold and overcast days in a row. Then the cycle starts over again. On the sunny day everyone is in the best mood of their life. I really love those days! I have such a deeper appreciation now for the role weather plays in our attitude and ability to do the things we love. I also really love this sweet wicker backpack that makes scooping up farmers’ market goodies easy and cute. With two littles in tow (and usually one attached to me) I need free hands to carry my ice cream cone and coffee.
