On our way to Homer, Alaska we made a quick pit stop on the Kenai River to use the restroom and feed Magnolia. Also, I was really hoping that Dude’s Food Trailer would be stationed somewhere nearby but he was sadly nowhere to be found. (Does anyone know where he is this year? Asking for a friend.) The Kenai River owes its striking color to glacial beginnings (and, apparently, silt) and there are few things more breathtaking on a sunny day. Nate likens fishing on the Kenai River to shopping at the original Chanel in Paris, which is obviously an analogy I can appreciate. Naturally we had to take this glorious day as a sign from Coco herself to snap some pictures. Also, we are all heading back there this weekend because this girl right here (that’s me) is going to learn how to fly fish. Wish us all luck!
