As I’m prepping Magnolia’s first birthday announcements I realized I never even shared her birth announcements. That changes today! Because here they are!

Last summer I contacted Catherine at Printerette Press to create her announcements because 1) I’m obsessed with her work and, 2) everything she creates is perfection. She also designed Waverley’s first birthday party invitations (featured on Oh So Beautiful Paper) and her second birthday announcements. She has a knack for taking my random thoughts and putting them into a beautiful design. For Magnolia’s birth announcements I simply sent her my maternity photos and said “something like this?” Yes. Something like that.

I wanted to incorporate the soft blush and mauve hues and romantic florals from my maternity photos. I knew Magnolia’s newborn photos would also include similar flowers so thought it would all work well together. Just like with Waverley’s birth announcements, they were designed and ready to go prior to Magnolia’s arrival. I highly recommend doing this if you are sending out birth announcements! It is so much more convenient than doing it after the baby is born. Then, the important information was added after her birth (her weight, height, etc) and pictures! We chose a small magnet with her monogram in a tiny envelope because tiny envelopes are adorable. We also included a packet of Magnolia’s newborn pictures wrapped up in twine for our recipients’ viewing pleasure. I am confident everyone loved the pictures and no one threw them away:)

Dear Family and Friends,

We are thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Magnolia Lee! We are so in love with our newest addition, who we adoringly call “Mini Sis.” Waverley loves being a big sister so far and can often be found showering Magnolia with kisses and stickers. Her first name was inspired by our trip to France in 2015 and a song by our favorite artist, “Magnolia Mountain” by Ryan Adams. Her middle name is after her late paternal grandmother, Kristin Lee. We hope you can all meet her very soon!
