A few days ago on October 1, Waverley turned three years old! I realize how cliché this sounds, but: I cannot believe Waverley is three years old. I was just wrapping my head around her being two years old and then time had to go ahead and speed up and she turned three. As most parents of a three year-old would say, she is by far the funniest and silliest person I have ever met. She has really come into her own personality throughout the past year and I love witnessing her evolve each day. She is incredibly stubborn, kind, and curious. Here is what she is up to and interested in these days!
- Her favorite things to play with are My Little Ponies, her beloved Paña, her play kitchen, books, and Howie.
- Stickers are her jam. She has been known to cover her entire body with stamps and/or stickers in a split second.
- Her current favorite movies are The Incredibles, Curious George, The Little Mermaid, and Zootopia.
- Her favorite pastimes are going on hikes and playing outside, preferably in water. She is a bonafide Alaskan babe and rarely seems to get cold. She also loves to bake with her mama and “be cozy.”
- Her favorite things to wear are pajamas, rubber boots, leotards with tutus, and her hair down.
- She is working really hard on potty training!
- Her favorite people are her cousin Quillan (who lives here in Alaska), her cousin Paige (who lives in Oregon and she pretend talks to on the phone daily), and her dad.
- Her favorite foods are pancakes, yogurt, nearly any kind of meat, and oatmeal.
- When she grows up she wants to be a super hero.
- She prefers cats to dogs.
- She inherited her father’s penchant for pokiness and her mother’s tendency to express every emotion on her face.
- She loves to read and dislikes to count.
- She is growing into a wonderful big sister! She constantly gives Howie treats and Magnolia stickers.
She is such a joy to be around and a privilege to raise. I love being her mama! Happy birthday to my sweet girl!
