Last week Nate and I went out to dinner with a fellow professor and her husband to celebrate the end of the school year. It was such a fun evening and I realized two very important things: 1.) Shop talk is inevitable so perhaps I shouldn’t give Nate such a hard time when most of our dinner conversations veer towards eye balls, and, 2.) I have found my new favorite pair of shoes. Ever. I love the peep toe bootie trend this year but had a difficult time finding just the right pair; one with a heel not too tall and no straps– my belly is getting too big to try to bend down and buckle anything! As soon as I tried these on I knew they were perfect. They are incredibly comfortable thanks to a sturdy and wide wood heel, come in the perfect shade of gray suede, and have an unexpected blush leather detail in the back. They’ve barely come off since.

Cute outfit but extremely expensive. Some of us need that money to pay bills rather than shop. I’ll stick to Target.
