Happy Friday! Our week started off slow as we recovered from the sheer joy of legitimately nice weather last weekend that occurred eerily and uncharacteristically early. It caused everyone to wonder, is this too good to be true? Should I actually plant these flowers? Considering it has snowed in May before, temperatures in the high 70s are a precious gift one must not waste and we spent every second possible outside. Then, the week finished off wonderfully busy and eventful as we are taking advantage of extra cousin time with Waverley and our nephew. They are a hoot together! It also makes me wonder: how do people have three children? Managing two kiddos + pregnancy is no easy feat. All you mothers of multiple children are forever heroines in mind. Have a great weekend!
Here’s what bummed Waverley out this week:
- She “needed” a new toothbrush and new toothpaste from the grocery store despite having just received new oral care products from the dentist.
- She wanted more cherries.
- She wanted to climb in the car on the other side and crawl over the seats into her car seat. Obviously. Why would anyone suggest otherwise?
- She did not want to wear those overalls. She wanted to wear these overalls.
- She was offered chocolate milk instead of juice.
- She was asked to eat her sandwich prior to consuming her treat.
- There were no waffles at breakfast!
- Howie sniffed her new boots.
- Her mother mistakenly thought the dragon they spotted was green, while she insisted it was purple.
- She did not want watermelon!
- She was offered the wrong pajamas to wear.
- Her new shoes got dirty!
- She wanted to go on a walk and then insisted on being carried the entire time.
- She needed to carry her cookie.
- Her mother declared herself too tired, too pregnant, and carrying too many things already to also carry her. It was not well-received.
- Howie licked/looked at/lunged towards/jumped on ______.
- The butterfly scared her.
