You know when an unexpected, random item of clothing becomes a favorite? When an impulse purchase becomes a constant fixture in your wardrobe? That is exactly what happened when I casually tried on this dress, which was picked out by the sweet gal helping me at Nordstrom. I frantically shopped for “in between” maternity clothes with a cranky, sick toddler in tow and she brought a few pieces I never would have given a second glance. In a let’s-end-this-nightmare moment I decided to give it a try at home and left in a hurry. When I got home, I realized it was the most comfortable and versatile piece for maternity wear or not. I’ve been wearing it to work, around the house, and out running errands. My favorite parts? It has the perfect amount of stretch for a growing belly and convenient pockets for collecting treasures, like rocks hand-picked from the aforementioned toddler.
