As Waverley approaches the big two-point-five years, I am itching to redo her room with a big girl spin. I’m trying to incorporate a lot of pieces from her current decor, like this rug, but also integrate items that represent her blossoming personality. She loves flamingos (she’s still obsessed with these pajamas), bright colors, and simplicity. My goal is to still keep the overall feel bright and calm, which is essential for dark Alaskan winters. My biggest question to all you veteran mommas out there is: when do we transition to a big girl bed? What has worked well for you in the past? Right now Waverley loves her crib and doesn’t try to climb out, so I am in no hurry to switch it up quite yet. Here’s the design inspiration I have so far. Dreaming it up is most of the fun!
