Happy Friday! I hope you all enjoyed a fabulous first week of December filled with holiday decorating and Thanksgiving debauchery recovery. We are in the process of decorating for Christmas and it is incredibly heartwarming to see Waverley’s reaction to everything. She gapes at every light in wonderment; It is so fun to experience the holidays through her eyes I could seriously burst! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We have a holiday party to attend and a Polar Express train ride, which is sure to be absolutely magical.
The holiday season may be utterly magnificent with a toddler, but this doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of meltdowns. Maybe even more?? This epic Waverley’s Weekly Woes moment pictured above is from our futile attempt to take pictures for our holiday card. I think the experience was the perfect incentive to the photographer to never have children. She was crying her face off in nearly every shot. Her life is terribly diffulct to endure, evidenced by the causes of her tantrums this week:
- Her new obsession are “taco rides” in which Nate folds her like a taco in a blanket and swings her around. She now requires a minimum of four taco rides every night, otherwise she will absolutely not get in the bath.
- She will only eat with a spoon.
- She refused to wear her jacket then cried about being cold.
- She desperately wanted her potty treat, yet would not sit on the potty. “I WANT MY TREAT!”
- She demands a car snack every time she gets in her car seat.
- She was offended by the flavor of cracker offered to her.
- She only gets to open one prize per day from her Advent calendar.
- She did not want to listen to music.
- She did not like her mother’s singing.
- She hates when we vacuum.
- Her favorite pajamas were dirty.
- She wanted chocolate milk, not a steamer. Get it right, Mama!
- She demanded to be carried down the stairs.
- She did not want assistance brushing her teeth.
- Her mother took the reigns of the sled from her father. Big mistake, Mama!
- Her parents hugged each other.
Yes, it’s tough to be Waverley. Have a great weekend!
