I’m so excited to start sharing a little bit about our European adventure today! We started our trip visiting one of my best friends and her family who just moved to the tiny little village of Herzogenaurach, Germany. The small town houses the global headquarters of Adidas and Puma…whoa! We spent our time strolling around on the cobblestone streets, grabbing snacks (pretzels, schnitzel sandwiches, and whatever pastry was given to us), and admiring the beautiful Bavarian architecture. Doesn’t it just look like living in the Enchanted Forest?
I was really surprised at how clean Germany is. They take their trash and recycling very seriously. It was incredibly refreshing after being in Alaska, where people throw away everything sans a second thought. Each trash receptacle in Germany had at least four compartments, even if it was in a public park. It paid off, because all of the landscape was litter-free and beautiful!
While Nate and I were child-free for this trip, my friend had her two little ones in tow. Our day there also included multiple park sessions (there were so many for such a small town!) and ice cream breaks. It was strange to be with other kids and not Waverley, yet we still felt we were on vacation! It truly is an adorable village. I am excited to share more about it on a later post, when my friend will go into the details about living abroad and raising little ones in a different country! Aren’t they brave?
Danke schön!

I love the double stroller your friend has! Do you know what brand it is?

Hi Laura! It is the Baby Jogger City Select double stroller. It’s really convenient, easy to use, and she said she’d highly recommend it! I hope that helps. Thanks so much for reading:)
