Happy Mother’s Day weekend! I am looking forward to a quick yet full weekend in Oregon with family. I cannot imagine a better Mother’s Day weekend than celebrating the baptism of my godson. Also, it’s hilarious to me that I am thinking “tropical” for a trip to Oregon. It’s supposed to be 80° there, which is a much needed warm weather getaway from the dreary 40°s we are enjoying in Anchorage. I am sure Waverley will have plenty of woes to report back next week when we wake her up 4:45am to leave. Until then, here is what toddler tantrum’s are caused by:
- I made the bed (as in, my bed).
- I offered to put her hair in a pony tail, which is essentially the same as scalping.
- I wouldn’t let her play with knives in the dishwasher.
- It was time for her weekly fingernail filing. We pulled out the big guns (chocolate graham bunnies).
- Daniel Tiger’s playground was a mess.
- I changed her diaper.
- I put on makeup. She wanted up, up, up, up.
- I accidentally said the word walk, with no intention of actually going on a walk in that millisecond.
- I cleaned her face.
- She wanted a snack, but not that, that, or that. SNAAACK! But what??
This poor girl. It’s a hard knock life, amiright?
