Ever since I was a little gal, I adored Valentine’s Day. I essentially just loved any opportunity to make handmade cards covered in hearts and my 10 year-old’s version of calligraphy. I’ve never put too much pressure on the day regarding being in a couple or presenting over-the-top gifts, yet I do really enjoy sharing with those I love that I love them. I love embracing the colors, sending cards, it is the one of few occasions I allow heart-shaped decor into my house, and I of course adore making coordinating holiday treats. This year, I am having an especially fun time preparing since Waverley is old enough to exhibit joy in different and new things. She’s already written in her cards to friends and family and has shown a deep infatuation with Valentine’s Day balloons at the grocery store. To get ready for our Valentine’s Day party next weekend, I’ve been stocking up on a few goodies in today’s weekend wish list. I also included a few Valentine’s Day treats Waverley and I have our eyes on (like the cutest little ballerina outfit for her stuffed pal and the perfect everyday earrings).
