I recently received my first purchase from Everlane. I opened the package with trepidation, unsure of what quality or lack thereof may be inside, and I was absolutely pleased with my choices: A cashmere crew neck sweater, a chambray shirt, a simple white t-shirt ($15!), and a cozy infinity scarf. The quality and fit of the items certainly rival those of much more expensive brands, which is the point. I love their philosophy of radical transparency regarding knowing where one’s clothes come from and being wise to exorbitant markups. The thing is, with such reasonable prices, I feel like I can add more to my cart. And more. Maybe just another sweater. (And a silk blouse.) And this bag, please. I was so excited to wear my new items, I piled on three of them at once for a day of errands and decorating. Don’t let the lack of snow fool you, it is still extremely chilly here! As soon as the lights were on the tree I ran inside for hot chocolate and the warmth of the fireplace.
Also, Nate scored too. He’s been dreaming of a hooded cashmere sweater yet refused to pay the accompanied high price tag. I planned to wait until Christmas to give it to him. I lasted approximately ten minutes. Regardless, he loved it and promptly wore it the same day. So, you know, we were practically twins.
