{September 23, 2013: Waverley’s actual due date!}
The last few days I’ve had a gnawing sensation that I was missing something. I couldn’t shake the thought that I had a big bill due, a missed appointment, a conference call, a forgotten email, or something that desperately needed my attention. I kept racking my brain for why September 23rd felt so significant. It finally came to me: September 23rd was Waverley’s due date last year! Apparently the day will always be etched in my mind. It ended up being quite perfect that last year and this year I went to a pumpkin patch on the date. I think it might have to turn into a little tradition, don’t you? As Waverley nears her one year birthday (she was eight days late, yikes!) and I’ve now been in Oregon for an entire week, there is plenty to be happy and grateful for. Here is what is making me happy on my trip so far!
{A truly beautiful sunset made even more enjoyable with wine and a charcuterie board.}
{These beautiful sunflowers.}
{I had so much fun at my girlfriend’s wedding on Saturday night that this is legitimately the only picture I took: a prom-style pose with my bestie and date for the night before the festivities began.}
{This guy.}
{My pumpkin patch experience was a little different this year!}

How crazy yesterday was your due date! I’m glad she came when she did though, October 1 is a perfect day and a perfect way to start fall. This post added to my happiness, and having you near makes my heart fuller!

This is so funny and I totally get it! I feel like July 18th will always be a very significant date to me, even though our guy was five days old at that point!
