On Friday evening Nate and I were excited to attempt a typical weekend activity that takes place in cities across the country: concerts in the park. We couldn’t believe Anchorage actually does this! How exciting! We packed up our barbecued dinner, plenty of snacks and beverages, and were ready for some live blues. We managed to find the only small area of grass there (think cement park) and cozied up right next to two friendly fellas smoking joints. Across the way lay a sleepy gentleman with his pants around his knees, which provided at least an hour of entertainment as four police officers finally awoke him and awkwardly drug him away (with gloves on). So, you know, pretty family friendly. I was happy to have my Greenbrier tumbler filled to the brim with wine and pretended we were there instead. We still enjoyed a lovely night: Waverley showed us her budding dance skills, Charlie savored plenty of treats, Nate got to stand in front of a sweet moose mural, and I learned apricot fruit spread really goes with anything.

I’m pretty sure those tumblers were made for events like these! Looks like it ended up being quite an entertaining night! p.s. your hair cut, I am dying!!!

Aw that looks like so much fun! We have a lot of those events in Vancouver and they get LOUD, particularly our jazz festivals so I bring a pair of earmuffs for the little one but truthfully she whips them off as soon as she can. I love those freshly picked moccasins too! Lovely family
