I had two firsts this weekend. 1) I used an eyelash curler for the first time ever. It was scary, but the results were worth it. I am quite certain I am the last female on the planet to purchase one. 2) I paired heels with casual shorts, which is nothing new of course but I felt daring nonetheless. I garnered only a few odd glances and one whistle. (A strangely satisfying experience, right?)
Celebration indeed! I’ll toast to being asked to be a bridesmaid in a bestie’s wedding next summer. Cheers!
It’s much too hot for wearing a lion’s mane of hair down so I channeled my mom’s 1970s college days by rocking a braided updo. I think I’ll forego the flowers and free love though. {Ring, Burberry watch (which was on sale and is sadly sold out; similar style), pearl bracelet, link bracelet.}
Remember my love for this purse? It has since officially sold out. Sad face. {Silk shirt (on sale!), denim shorts.}
Verdict? I’ll attempt this trend in baby steps, by pairing cutoff denim shorts with wood and leather wedges to keep it feeling like me.

I’m a little surprised that such a gorgeous gal like you hasn’t used a lash curler before! You’ll love it once you get used to it. š
I wanted to share a trick with you that I heard in high school. If you warm up the curler for a few seconds using a blow dryer, then curl your lashes (always do this before applying mascara), your lashes will curl more and hold longer throughout the day. Try it and see if you like the look! Enjoy your week! š
