Throughout my incessant internet browsing and magazine reading I’ve noticed that an asymmetrical hemline (or the more flavorful mullet dress) is out and about as much as the namesake hairstyle is in eastern Oregon at the weekend rodeos. At first I quickly turned the page but now I’ve grown rather fond of the style and hope to add a version to my closet soon. It seems the perfect juxtaposition of an effortless maxi dress and an airy knee length dress (sometimes those maxi dresses are near snuggie-like in terms of the warmth they provide). And, like the hairstyle, it’s something you can ease into with just a small party in the back or a full-fledged prom circa 1985.

So what is your verdict? Will you rock a mullet dress this summer?

Already did! See fb Easter picture. Definite yay in my book – it feels very fun, flirty, and whimsical on!

Hal you do look pretty smoking in that picture! It is reason enough to purchase a mullet dress immediately!
