If you’ve been on my Instagram lately then you know we had a very, very cold weekend. Everything was completely frozen over and pure white, whether from snow on the ground or icicles on the trees. The ponds are solid ice, too, covered with a thin layer of white frost. It’s my favorite thing about living in Alaska; the winter beauty is phenomenal. The downside is the unbearable single-digit or subzero temperatures that the beauty brings, which can be difficult to handle with a toddle– especially one who refuses gloves. We managed to get out and about just enough to enjoy our winter wonderland and spent the rest of the time cozying up inside. I couldn’t resist then to round up our favorite board books for toddlers for the Christmas and winter season. We spent evenings curled up on the rocking chair reading last year’s favorites as well as a few new additions. It’s time to stock up, there’s a long winter ahead.

Oh that one is so cute!! I love the Baby Lit collection. Sometimes Waverley doesn’t have the attention span for them though:)
